Today was the first day of Vo-Tech for our Ryan students !
The OSSAA has enacted a new rule (Suspension from Athletic Activities for Unsporting Behavior Rule) in efforts to improve sportsmanship at HS & MS athletic events.
Any “egregious” unsportsmanlike behavior by Coaches, Players, or Fans two or more times in the same season / same sport will cause the SUSPENSION of the Team and/or Individual from the rest of the season.
The OSSAA cited some the following examples of “egregious” unsportsmanlike behavior:
- Fans constantly verbally attacking officials.
- Fans physically attacking officials.
- Fans attacking other fans at athletic events.
- Coaches physically attacking or verbally berating officials.
- Players getting into fights with other players while shaking hands at the end of contests.
- Student sections verbally chanting inappropriate or demeaning chants at individuals, teams, or officials.
Career tech bus will leave at 7:00 am. First day of career tech classes are Wednesday August 10th.

There will be a high school football meeting Thursday, August 4th at 6:00 pm at the field house for 9th-12th players.
If a student is receiving a sports physical – their parents/guardian will need to fill out the OSSAA physical form with parental consent signed. We will not be able to provide the sports physical without the parent/guardian signature. The parent/guardian does not have to be present at the time of the sports physical. Forms can be printed from the following link or contact the school if you will need a copy. The OSSAA physical form has to be signed by a parent/guardian before the physical can be given.

Reminder that enrollment will be August 3rd and 4th from 9:00am to 2:00pm in the cafeteria. We would like to follow this schedule as closely as possible. August 3rd seniors enroll from 9-10 and juniors from 11-12. August 4th sophomores enroll from 9-10 and freshman from 11-12 and 7th/8th grade from 1-2.
